Tony Racioppo

Tony graduated from Pace University in 1971 with a degree in Accounting. Upon graduation, he worked for a Public Accounting firm for several years and then left to become a Controller for a large Cooperative Buying group. In 1976, he joined Security Delivery Service, Inc., a family owned business started by his father. He has been the President and CEO ever since. Along with his cousin and business partner, John Racioppo, the business has grown from a local messenger service to a worldwide transportation company, with offices around the United States.

Tony is currently the Industry Co-Chair Emeritus of the award winning Greater New York PCC. He was named National PCC Industry Member of the Year in 2007. In addition, he served as Industry Co-Chair of the National Postal Customer Council Advisory Committee (PCCAC) from 2007 to 2009. Tony is also Past President of the Messenger Courier Association of the Americas (MCAA) and received their Distinguished Service Award for his outstanding contribution to the courier industry. He was inducted into the Courier Hall of Fame in May of 2009. He also serves on the Executive Board of the Long Island City Business Development Corporation and the Advisory Board of the Child Center of NY.

Qualifications:

• Established companies - $1 Million or greater in annual sales (average over past 3 years); in business at least 3 years; only owners or top executives may attend
• We do not accept as Club members - Professional Service (i.e. CPA's, Attorneys, Consultants, Financial Services or Insurance Service industries).
